Beginning Kesimpta
My wife just started and had the third treatment of the once a week. She's not feeling better at all... How how long did it take to feel "better" ... She also seems to being hit with MS symptoms left and right since starting. Is this normal? Dr follow up isn't until October
I've been on kisempta for 10 months or so - the loading doses period where you take them 1x a week were rough and can be tough on the body, which sounds like what your wife is experiencing. I found by month 3 the side effects for kisempta to be pretty minimal and felt 'better' in the sense that meds didn't make me feel like crap. But unfortunately the MS symptoms gained up until the point of starting meds are there to stay and can flare up anytime, stress, heat, infection etc. I would recommend contacting her MS nurse to let them know if possible, they will hopefully be able to advise
^^ Wot she said. The drug isn't designed to make your existing symptoms better. It lowers the risk of relapses posing new or worse symptoms.
