Hospitalised again...
This is the second relapse this year, both has led to a hospital admission.
I've had loss of power in my legs, optic neuritis, swallow problems and myclonic jerks all at the same time.
Been here 3 days on IV steroids awaiting results of MRI etc.
Already been diagnosed 4 years and tried two different DMT's during this time.
Just feeling a bit frustrated tbh and nobody can really give me any answers.
My biggest challenge in general is that i can't seem to maintain any momentum in life without MS pulling the rug. Every time I recover from a relapse and feel like I can function it happens again.
Anyway rant over :) thanks for listening
Hey @Russell just didn’t want to read and run. I’m so sorry you’re having an awful time. I am just wondering if you’re under a consultant at a major centre like Queen Square in London and what the other DMTs are that you’ve tried so far? I was diagnosed at a similar time to you and started on Occ straight away. It’s not all been fun and games, but so far, I’ve been very grateful that I’ve had no further MRI detectable lesions or serious relapses. I am 10+ yrs older than you which might also be in my favour. Anyway, just wanted to say hello and hope today is a better day. MS sucks. You’re not alone, hang in there :)
I'm sorry to hear that family. Swallowing problems in particular are a b. Ask for a SALT to come and see you and talk through strategies for improving it. I can't eat without liquid.
