Hand control for driving
I’m looking into hand controls for driving to open my autonomy and was curious on people’s experience…. Does anyone use hand controls to drive? What’s your experience? Which brand and model do you use?

Hi @RubyRuby I swapped to using hand controls in June of this year. I use a push pull lever for acceleration/braking. It’s been a game changer for me as I suffer from foot drop and found it difficult to drive a manual car any distance. I use Jeff Gosling controls with an indicator switch on the end of the handle for right hand use. I had a steering ball fitted too which make turning quite quick / easy. I find using the speed limiter function of my car helps prevent breaking the limit just in case you squeeze the lever too much. I had only used them once before having them installed on my car but picked it up very quickly. Good luck with it if you choose to use them.
@ScottJ thank you so much for your sharing your experience and information this helps!
