Relapses
Im newly diagnosed, and had a MRI in October, then fell down the rabbit hole (flair or relaps?)for almost the entire month of November. No meds until April due to some misunderstandings and timing with the teams. Then put on the Tecfidera. Had another relaps (flair) at the end of June to just now in july. First one was drunk/bad balance issues/ and feeling like I lived in a bad cartoon. This time was interesting, DRUNK slurred speech, stuttering, looking for words that I couldn't find. Wet feet, facial stuff, on and on.. my question is how long between fairs/relaps is the "norm" understanding that MS doesn't have a norm. And how long is normal for the doctor to call about results? Its been 29 days, and I've seen the medical results, I just dont understand them all. ( the last MRI got taken while in the flair, so it lit up the screen) not good but it did show 2 lesions that had shrunk a bit. Always something good if you can find it😁. And, how long does some of the crazy things last, will they go away?
Thank y'all for your time and understanding

I had one severe flair up that lasted weeks. I was put on Ocrevus and have not had any new flare ups or progresssion on MRI. My balance issues have largely resolved. I played soccer for decades. I don’t think I am coordinated enough to play at a high level anymore but I am functional. The numbness in my hands seems to be permanent. Some symptoms will come and go. My advise is vitamin D3 and B12 daily. Clean up your diet. Hit the gym which helps physically as well as mentally. Get on a good DMT. I am on Ocrevus infusions. There are about six different high efficacy treatments. You will have to find the right fit for you.
If you had a relapse on tecfidera you should switch to a higher efficacy DMT
