Sertraline and Fatigue

Just thought I'd share my experience with Sertraline. I started it a few months ago. 50mg, no effect. So my GP suggested 100mg About 1 week before I went up to 100mg my fatigue kicked in. It comes and goes. However, 7 weeks later it was still there. It was a very tough time No effect from the 100mg Sertraline, so I decided to stop. My GP suggest I go back to 50mg for 2 weeks before stopping Within 2 days of me lowering the dose my fatigue vanished. It was wonderful! I think this is an unusual side effect from Sertraline, fatigue, but it's not unheard of. I thought people might like to know that can happen, or at least it happened to me. But again, I think it's unusual Also, 2 weeks on 50mg and then stopping was optimistic. Got some withdrawals, so I'm currently taking 25mg, and will continue that for a couple of weeks before stopping entirely

Thank you for sharing!🫶 It would be very interesting to hear how you are getting on with it after a couple of month or so? if you have had anymore side affects and if it has really made a difference with your fatigue good or bad! 🤓

@Semms

Looking at this currently as fatigue is one of the less common side affects compared to say Escitalopram according to google, that’s a spanner in the works 🙁
