Struggling

Not posted in a while but I’ve really started to struggle lately and I feel like my family just don’t or can’t understand. I’ve started with the cramping basically all over my body but the worst in my legs and arms, my family have said they have noticed significant change in my memory and my emotions are all over tha place as ifs my mental health, I feel like I’m losing my mind and losing who I am as a person because I’m just miserable all the time. My dad died of Parkinson’s and he never accepted it and he became miserable and so unhappy through this last years. I don’t want to do that for the rest of my life but I literally don’t see how I can possibly manage with life
@msalec

First off, my condolences for the loss of your father. This year marks 8 yrs since my dad died and miss him every day especially when I need advice or help on a project. Regarding your cognitive struggles, it resonates with me as well. Forgetting stuff, difficulty verbalizing my thoughts and unable to hold conversation as well.. please know your not alone in your struggles.. For the muscle cramping I take bacoflen.. 10 mg with breakfast and 40 mg at bed time. If I am going to be sitting in a car too long, I will take an additional 10mg in the afternoon.. it’s helped along with my daily stretching and pt exercises.. I am a firm believer in pt and ot sessions that are tailored for ms.. I wish you all the best in our ms journey..
