First, don't confuse enduring unnecessary cruelty with being virtuous. If someone repeatedly humiliates you, calls you names, or dismisses your struggles, they're not acting like a friend. A friend should want what's best for you. You have enough genuine difficulty managing multiple sclerosis without voluntarily surrounding yourself with people who make your burden heavier. Life is difficult enough already. Stand up straight, tell the truth, and set a boundary. You don't have to hate this person, but you also don't have to tolerate being treated badly. If they can't treat you with basic respect, create some distance. Don't let one unpleasant person convince you that everyone is like that. Find people who encourage you to become stronger, not weaker. Those relationships are worth protecting
