@Hello! I was diagnosed at age 69 with SPMS. After opinions from three different neurologists, I was finally convinced of the diagnosis. Unfortunately due to my age, I have not been prescribed any kind of DMT. Has this been the case with anyone else? I’d really appreciate hearing from folks who were diagnosed later in life. on Shift.ms

I was diagnosed at 55. Went to 2 neurologists who were on the fence whether to put me on meds or not due to my age. They said that usually symptoms start to slow down as we approach 60 and meds are usually slowed or stopped after 60. After a year, and a referral to a 3rd neuro at Cedar Sinai, the decision was made to start Ocrevus. It was so confusing.
