IV steriods feedback please 🙏

Hey 👋 So after not having success with ocrevus or achthar gel my neuro wants to switch me for now to IV steriods for five days bc of new symptoms. Then I’m also switching to Tysabri. What was your experience with IV steriods? I really didn’t like the steriod taper I was on it made me hyper and paranoid. I also have anxiety so that doesn’t help. Happy Friday! 🧡

Hi, I was given a 5 day course of steroids last Christmas, certainly did give a major lift but paranoid was definitely in the mix, personally wouldn’t be on a rush again for them, that’s only my personal experience

I've not had IV steroids, only by mouth. 1200 mg for 3 days. It's pretty awful but it works. The last time I had to do this my GP gave me medication for my stomach because the steroids are so hard on your stomach and she also gave me ativan which was an absolute game changer. It just took the edge off and calmed me down. I wasn't so jittery and paranoid.
