I'm scared

Hi, I got diagnosed in February after I had a huge flare in October 2024 that left me with a drop foot and extreme weakness in my legs (some other symptoms as sensibility issues aswell, but they're not as worrying to me as the legs). It went from being able to walk normal distances to being able to walk 600m, to needing to hold myself at the walls when walking through the apartment, not being able to carry our 9 month old baby anymore. In February and in March I had steroid therapies, making the symptoms better, not going away entirely, but just for 2-3 weeks each time. I started Tysabri one month ago, had my 2nd infusion last Friday. I just have the feeling that its getting worse instead of better in general.. My balance is nonexistent, my left leg starts getting weak aswell and I can't rely on it anymore since a few weeks either.. I'm getting PT but only once a week when I'm lucky, but I'm currently in a phase where I'm scared that it'll never get better are there qny people witj simllar experiences where it just took time to get better please i am scraed and afraid

Hello @Poki yes just like you, I was able to walk a few miles when my MS was still quiescent/benign but, now I am limited to just a few dozen metres a day. I think you are doing the right thing though by focusing on physiotherapy, to rehabilitate your strength and stamina, I do it daily and slowly bit by bit I hopefully will be able to increase my walking distances. 🚶🏻‍♂️ Kind regards.

Hi there, I’m Anthony, I’ve been there. Luckily you have us here to communicate with. If you want, I have a copy of the food you can and shouldn’t have. That works well. Feel free to connect with anyone here, chatting about ms helps as well. If you’re interested text me and I will send it. I know people don’t like giving their number out. However, it’s entirely up to you. Have a great day. 617-943-3728
