I feel so inadequate as someone with RRMS

So I have RRMS I find it so difficult because I know I do not have it as bad as people with progressive. Sometimes I just feel like it’s not real in peoples minds, I have head pain 24-7, people just think I can carry on. Just finding it hard at the min. I like to keep fit and use to run a lot but I can’t now as I fall over too much. Just sucks. Not really a conversation starter I know.

There is definitely an adjustment! But there is also a fb page ‘running with MS’ which is super positive and lots of people use it to support each other, it’s helped me a lot. I have the tripping thing too and lately have dropped from a half marathon to struggling with intervals BUT! Big but! I reached out and was given some really sound advice which has helped me make the steps toward steady state running again (albeit slower) I can now do a solid 30mins without tripping or losing my left foot. It won’t help with the head pain mind, but for me, I just bang in some paracetamol before I set off for the gym to take the edge off. Getting that one thing back a little can really help with mental health. You really needn’t feel inadequate though, focus on your better days, take it steady. There’s plenty of people in the world who aren’t even trying, you’re doing it and with extra weight on your shoulders 💪🏼
