Finally retired

Well after two very long years I've officially been ill health retired on tier 2 pension, a huge weight off my shoulders. Same day I had to attend a&e, had a fall 2 weeks ago, wrist wasn't getting any better...I've to attend fracture clinic....oh this crazy journey

If you don't mind me asking, what was the main hurdle that it took so long? I think I'm heading in that (ill health retirement) direction faster than I had hoped.

@Leeb hi it took my employer from March to November to pay my GP for my medical records. I contacted my employer monthly to be told it's been paid or Medigold has your records... All lies. If I was to start the process over.... Everyone lies, it wasn't until I contacted the MS society lawyers who gave me a template to send to them...and low and behold it was paid for the next working day. In the words of Greg House... everyone lies and everyone's an idiot.So please keep at them and don't take their word for granted
