Leave of absence from college
Hi guys, this semester has been extremely difficult. I’ve been dealing with a lot of health issues related to my MS, and I ended up in the hospital for the second time after falling in the shower and hitting my head. My neurologist now thinks I might have MG instead of MS, and I’m currently on several different medications. Honestly, I feel really lost when it comes to managing my health, school, and work.
I was advised to consider taking a leave of absence from college for a semester so I can focus on getting my health under control, but I feel like such a failure. I’m 25, about to turn 26, and I only had two semesters left. Now it feels like I technically have three because I’m probably going to fail my classes this semester.
What do you guys think would be the best course of action for me?

Be an advocate for yourself and your health, Im sure I have been an annoying patient but its pushed my diagnosis and treatment. As for college-only you know what's best but you have to be gentle and forgiving with yourself. I just got an FMLA to reduce my hours at work and that has that same feeling of being a failure. But we are not failures for taking control of our lives and care of ourselves in a difficult time. Feel free to reach out if you ever need to talk
