Promotion
I've recently returned to work after 6 months off due to relapse.
Anyway I've been told today I would not be considered for promotion as I'm deemed unreliable and would be in the future but any able bodied person can need that time off. I know my rights under disability rights but has anyone had to go through anything like this. I'm absolutely fuming so much so I've emailed HR to clarify their stand on this
I'm really sorry that I can't relate to what your going through as I work for a large government organization where things like that arnt allowed to happen. The only advice I can offer is ask to have their decision in writing or an email so it can be used as evidence if a dispute was to occur. 6 months off due to an official disability then return to work is not "unreliable".
I've emailed asking for their official clarification on the subject. It was a work colleague who is just above who told me this (he tells me anything I need know) and he saw an email from hr not about me but in general. I won't take this laying down if it's deemed to be true I was supposed to get the job before last Christmas then suddenly after a week off with nerve pain the job was pulled. Don't think area manager keen on me as I don't kiss ass
