Can someone please explain..

How is it that people so easily wanna say you look good when they know it’s not true why is it when you see people you know out in public you’re using your walker you’re feeling like tired sick and sore and they say hello how are you doing? You look good!! and you don’t want to tell him thank you cause it’s a lie and you know it’s not true and your mind it just swells up even more!! with what the heck thoughts 💭 why do people wanna tell us we look good when they know it’s a lie?. help me understand please. Can you explain it to me what’s wrong with those people cause I’m really just tired of people saying it to me when they know it’s not true. I don’t look nothing like I did when they met me that’s for sure and they know I’m struggling.. why can’t they just say hello can’t they just say it’s good to see you 💝 like seriously can’t they just say anything else? Why do they feel they have to say it when they know it’s not true just help me understand please.💔😪💔😪

Humans are scared 😱 little animals, most of the time, not wanting to make waves, or cause a fuss. Then, when they see someone sickly, they think they are doing a “favor” by saying they don’t see the ailments. Dude!! I’m jacked up!! Do not deny my disability!! Do NOT minimize me! Do not pat me on the head, and send me to a corner!!! If you do not intend on engaging the entire human, as I currently present myself, then do not engage at all! I, also, demand people to be authentic, in my presence @Mondaygirl22, because we are way too messed up to have people playing mind games!! You are not alone. The “niceties” that people throw around come off as ableist drivels. Some of it, you have to learn to ignore, but when you can, stick up for yourself, and demand to be seen in all of your Disabled Glory, exactly as you are!!

I really feel for you, these things seem so small to people, but can ruin your whole state. I've only recently had to start explaining to colleagues because of visible symptoms. Its bizarre though, because what i experience at work is the rubber neck when i walk past them, then the body swerve to avoid dealing with me, then coming back for a chat later and ignoring the elephant in the room - i end up being the one to bring it up and feel like im attention seeking for simply adressing previous weird interactions. i think that people want to keep the shared delusion going, when i actually speak to them deeper than surface level, they are in more denial than me 🤣🤣🤣
