What is considered a flare up?

I have had soooo many symptoms since I got diagnosed with MS three weeks ago. I don’t know what is considered a flare up? Or a big flare up?

I was diagnosed 5 years ago and I still can’t figure it out lol

The definition I was told is that it is new neurological symptoms that last for more than 24 hours and are not caused by an underlying infection. Your best bet is that if you’re feeling weird stuff call your neurologist. A good doc will have you come in and they can test for infections and assess whether you need a course of high dose steroids.
