Amitriptyline

Hi, So I've been prescribed 10mg of amitriptalyine daily but am wary about taking it. I don't want something that's going to give me loads of side effects or make me sleep all the time - fatigue does that anyway ? So do any of you wonderful people have any advice or stories that might help persuade/disease me please? Mimi xx

@mimilaroux , Amitriptyline is a medication to dampen down neuropathic pain, but it does help you sleep too. It is recommended that it is taken 12 hours before you need to get up the next day. That should avoid any drowsiness the next day.

@mimilaroux Aww, bless you. Guess you just have to bite the bullet and give it a try. I am on 50mgs and I take them like 5 minutes ago at 5pm each night. I'm fine with them, I wish they helped me zzz though, lol. Good luck. You will be fine xxx
