Optic neuritis

I was diagnosed by chance because my regular optician discovered a thinning optical nerve in one eye and escalated it. 2 years of seeing specialist and a couple of MRI scans later I got the MS diagnosis. Optic nerve in one eye is bottomed out at 50%. However only symptoms for me is less vivid orange colors. Was advised to start BCell depleter drug to avoid vision loss. Can a damaged optic nerve recover?
@jenine

I don’t have an answer for you but welcome to the club! It’s weird/good/lucky that it’s less vivid orange colors!!! Good luck on your adventure

I had it in 2014 and could not see much through the affected eye. After 6 months it had cleared up by about 80%. Last year so 10 years later I had my periodic driving eye test and I scored 100% in the field test and passed the eye test with flying colors with out glasses for both eyes. Say the answer is yes they can recover. I've been told omega-3 will help repair the nerve to a degree.
