Techfidera makes you gain weight

Hi! İ'm Melike from Turkiye. I got diagnosed with rrms this year in May. Ive ben using techfidera 240 mg since august. I gained almost 10 kg. I heard techfidera can do that. Its not like I have food restrictions or diet. What should I do to keep my weight in check? Should I change my medicine? Am I the only one?

I think it depends on the person really as I had the opposite reaction and lost a fair bit of weight. As with most things I suppose you have to weigh up the pros and cons. If that is your only side effect on that medication is it worth changing? If you change you could get even worse side effects but only you know how much it is effecting you

I’m on Tecfidera, since Jan 2020. I haven’t noticed any weight gain or weight loss issues. I can put on a few pounds depending on what I eat. But it doesn’t take long to loose it as I sometimes don’t feel like eating (depends on my mood). But I will be more mindful now weight gain/loss has been mentioned.
