Issues with speech

Hi, I went to a wedding on Saturday and something weird happened. I literally only had a couple of drinks (and yes it was just a couple) it felt like my brain and mouth weren't connected. The words were literally in my mouth but when I got the words out, it was like I was speaking a different language, if a different language was utter gibberish. It was so embarrassing because I've never had this before. Please someone give me advice..

Unfortunately it does happen - you are not alone. Yet another of the weird & wonderful symptoms those of us withMS have to deal with!

Hi @Manxgal I hate to say it but this sounds similar to my first symptoms before diagnosis. I can’t think of a time it’s been similar since I was diagnosed (2008) however, I do have plenty more symptoms these days. In terms of advice, I would record the date or dates it occurs and report it to your MS nurse or neurologist for the record. All the best
