Support/ Funding

Hi, I'm a wheelchair user and have been using my current NHS wheelchair for about 8 years. It's not suitable for longer distances, which makes it difficult to get out and about. I'm looking to get a new wheelchair, but the cost is quite high. Does anyone know of any support or funding options that could help cover some or all of the expenses?

You could apply for PIP as with the mobality part you should qualify for higher rate of mobality part . Good luck

Apply for PIP. I get the lower mobility rate and I’m not a wheelchair user so I’m sure you’d get it (if you don’t already)
