Retiring early due to MS

Need advice or anyone had or having a problem getting their private pension from work. After being officially diagnosed in early 2022, I was still working but had quite a bit of time off due to MS problems. Our HR officer had asked me if I had considered retiring early due to ill health. This would mean I would receive my full entitlement. I continued to work as best I could. It got to the stage in April this year to go through with the process. Hospital letters from my neurologist and my doctor were sent detailing my progressive MS. Since then I have had no response from the healthcare organisation that we deal with and nothing from our pension team at head office. I can no longer work and have devices fitted at home to help me. I will be in a wheelchair soon because I can’t get out. I have sent a stern email to head office and to HR and our principal. I’m sure it shouldn’t take this long. I am now on £200 a month and struggling financially. This is effecting my condition and my mental health. Also effecting the mental health of my wife. Anyone in the same situation?

Hi pal , I'm just waiting for neurology, I have all the symptoms, and my sister and her two daughters have it , I know I have it but have to wait for neurology, I've just gone back to work, but can't see me been there for long, I've got on to a financial expert to sort my pensions out pal

Yes mate exactly the same boat,I have PPMS too which absolutely stops me doing any physical type of work, I’ve qualified for medical retirement pension which I can’t take until I’ve stopped working which from last week when they sacked me for having MS means I can now take it, pension wise from the government is a free consultation you can have and I found very useful, deal directly with the pension company and look at your options, good luck it’s a shit situation I know but hopefully it’ll all come good.
