Energy Levels

How is everyone coping with a non existent energy level? I think I have either had or am having a relapse and its absolutely killing me. I have pain in my legs and back and my walking is completely destroyed. Ive been so independent for the last 8 years since diagnosis that im really struggling to cope with this.

I'm my own worst enemy sometimes. Food can give me an instant energy boost, but when the fatigue is really bad I'm sometimes too exhausted to even eat. One thing that's surprised me is that exercise often creates energy. Getting moving seems to build momentum and helps carry me through the day. I just set the bar ridiculously low. Even a 5 minute walk or a few minutes of stretching is better than nothing. Pacing has probably been the biggest game changer. I've learnt to tell the difference between a "conquer the world" day and a "the sofa has won" day, and not beat myself up over either. My Garmin has also been brilliant for spotting patterns. The Body Battery is almost spooky. It doesn't tell me how I feel... it tells me how I'm about to feel. More than once it's stopped me from emptying the tank completely. 😊

There are pills for the lethargic feeling, but they spin my head out too much. I changed my diet, and started walking a lot, to get the lethargy at bay, but exacerbations throw all the hard work out the window, until it eases again. Best of luck. Sounds like you need to check in with your support teams?
