Pain question????
Hi all, so been diagnosed 5yrs now but know my MS started 27 years ago after having my son. He was born by c-section and had many problems after but all was put down to pregnancy and no brain scans or any mention of MS. Since then I have suffered with chronic sciatica(so they say). I then had my daughter who again was c-section ( not by choice)for a while I felt as though I was finally getting back on my feet so started playing my sports I loved before having my son (field hockey and netball) but I knew something wasn’t right. Everything I questioned I just got told ‘it will be due to your sciatica so refered to pain team and put on pain meds. Eventually after getting no answers as to why I had sciatica with back scans not showing any slipped disc etc.. I asked for a second opinion and was told it was most probably damaged when administering the epidural for my c-section with my son so that was that.
(Sorry I do ramble on😂)
So my question is out of curiosity, does anyone suffer nerve pain like sciatica due to ms damage and could this actually be ms and not damage through the epidural??
Hope that all makes sense, it’s something I’ve wondered.
Yes I believe I am suffering MS induced Sciatica type pain currently. Osteopath can't find anything wrong. MS causes hypersensitivity so previous injuries, operations etc. that would pose no pain to anyone else (because they have healed) cause pain in MS sufferers.
@RC83 thank you for that I will be asking my neurologist at my next appointment.
