Medication switch
I’m currently in a MS flare and I had differences of opinion with my last neurologist that was an actual MS specialist. I have been on Tecfidera and gelynia In the past, but when I got into an argument with my neurologist about MS causing pain and she didn’t want to even acknowledge my pain, she done the unthinkable and I had to cold turkey Gelinya. (Can’t remember how to spell those two meds) I have now found a regular neurologist that was willing to treat me. He told me I need to do my own research and figure out what kind of medication I wanted to try, but I really have no clue. I know that some of the newer medications are quite expensive so I wanted to go with something older, but he also has been talking about changing my diagnosis from RRMS to secondary progressive and that’s gonna drastically affect the top of medicine I take too. Do y’all know of any older MS medications that might be cheaper without too many side effects pills or injections? I’m not sure which to do either. I’m really looking for some advice. Please help As I’m currently in a flare and I had another emergency MRI last night in the hospital because I had complete paralysis so I need to decide quickly.
i was on 9 meds since 2009
