How do you do it while being a mom?

Hello everyone How do you manage to stay healthy and not catch any diseases while being on immunosuppressants? Im a breastfeeding mom on Tysabri, and its getting harder not to catch any colds, high fevers or anything my daughter can be catching For a normal person, they say boost your immunity, immunity drinks, immunity foods, vitamins, but that contradicts the MS right?
@St1gzy

I’ve got 3 kids. Nursery is basically my second mortgage, except instead of building equity, I get a free new virus every Friday and an email saying “Just to make parents aware, there has been a case of…” 😂 My neuro told me that even on treatment I still have most of my immune system working, and after 82 months on MS medication, that’s pretty much been my experience. Most bugs tend to bounce off me, and when the whole family does go down, I’m often the first one back on my feet. Now, that doesn’t give you the green light to start licking the handrails in Tesco or borrowing a toddler’s toothbrush. Normal hygiene and common sense still apply. 😂 Admittedly, I’m a dad, so it’s a bit different. Mums can be vomiting, running a fever and barely able to stand, yet somehow the washing is on, the kids are fed and everyone knows where their shoes are. A dad gets a blocked nose and starts quietly reorganising his affairs so the family is prepared for life without him. But generally, I don’t live in fear of infections or try to boost my immune system with miracle drinks. I just eat reasonably well, stay active, sleep when the children permit it, wash my hands and carry on living. 😊
