Ms moods

I've been diagnosed now for a couple of years but I keep going into these random feelings off been down want to cry, feel angry, worry feel like I'm stuck in a hole but it comes and goes...but my life is as good as it can be beautiful children lovely supportive partner but I keep having these moments is this normal?

That sucks :( If you e recently started a new med, sometimes mood swings can be a side effect. Either way, I would definitely get checked out by either your neurologist, psychiatrist, or therapist. You could be suffering from a form of depression or other mental illness, even if your life is good and you have lots of days that you’re happy. People with MS have depression at higher than normal rates, and MS can cause depression. Even if it’s not depression, it could be any number of things and you’ll want to call one of those same people anyway. I get what I call sadness attacks where it’s like a panic attack but it’s overwhelming sadness, hopelessness, and distress. I was depressed before I started having symptoms, but afterwards I’ve had these. It’s just a quirky little thing my disease does. Hope you feel better soon and can take some comfort in knowing you’re not alone

@KayR Yeah I think that sounds pretty standard to me. I still have those occasional moments to be honest when I experience all those emotions, however it soon goes. I have some lesions in the emotional part of my brain, so I take antidepressants as I had been suffering with Depression, prior to my MS diagnosis. I'm usually very positive in my outlook on life, even with MS. But occasionally I have a wobble and then I get back on my bike and carry on.
