How often do you get an MRI of your spine?

Just wondering how often you get an MRI of your spine done? I still don’t have a diagnosis of MS but as the years go on, new symptoms seem to appear. I had an MRI of my full spine back in 2021 but didn’t have any lesions there, only my brain. That was prior to my leg becoming as weak as it is now. I keep asking for an MRI of my full spine but my specialist says I need the symptoms to warrant it. So was wondering how often you get MRI of your full spine if you don’t have any lesions there? I’m due my next scan in a couple of weeks and because I think I experienced the MS hug and some other symptoms in my hand, I’m having an MRI of my cervical and thoracic spine but not lumbar or sacral.

Diagnosed in 2007 at 17 I get brain and spine MRIs once a year
