Driving
I have been trying to get my driving licence back . I've not drove for 6 years due to my medication,I've done all the forms they have sent of for information from my nurse and consultant. I am not sure I am okay to drive now, my memory and thinking is really playing me up and I am finding to hard to focus . I think I might have to phone the DVLA up and let them know not to bother .😩
DVLA are not very quick at this, I submitted in Dec and still waiting. But, I am allowed to drive it’s just work want an official say so from DVLA 🙄
If you've already reapplied then see what comes, some days may be better than others. I just got my license back, bought a new car and when i picked it up i was terrified driving home because my eyesight, cognitive are all different now. But 6 weeks on, I'm doing better and more comfortable behind the wheel. I treat my MS and how it affects my driving the same way i approach drink driving. If I'm not fit to drive, then i won't. Take your licence back, because it's good to have the option.
