Here we go
Hi. My name is Kevin Toliver-Lyons and I seem to be on the verge of an ms diagnosis. I've had Bell's palsy twice, trigeminal neuralgia, and worsening neurological issues since 2013. I’ve been to the hospital several times for what they called "Brain Attacks," which include double vision, left-eye weakness, and left-sided body weakness. I also have chronic pain, numbness, and tingling in both arms and legs, but worse on the left. My coordination is off, I get severe vertigo, dizziness, and memory problems. I often have headaches that feel like lightning, followed by vertigo.
I also struggle with extreme fatigue, and trouble holding objects, and my left leg is becoming unresponsive. I deal with constant hip and back pain, urinary problems, alternating constipation and diarrhea, and complete sexual dysfunction.
An MRI in February 2020 showed "a few punctate hyperintensities of the subcortical and periventricular white matter were identified on an MRI conducted on February 8, 2020." This was never pursued.
My neurologist says I have all of the symptoms and scheduled brain, spine & thoracic MRI's for the 26th to confirm what we think we already know.
Welcome to the MS Club. There are free tremors and unlimited bathroom breaks for you, as well as a big bed for you to lounge in restlessly. Seriously, if you do end up getting diagnosed, then that will be good news for you. Once you have a dx, you can formulate a plan and with treatment things will get better. It's the chaos of not knowing what will happen next that's the worst.
