Relapses have stopped.

Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with relapse remitting MS in 2010. Like everyone it’s been unpredictable, painful and downright frustrating having the disease. My question is though since I hit my early 50’s my relapses have stopped and still yay DMT Tecfidera. Has anybody else had the same experience since reaching there 50th decade? My consultant has told me it is common..

You would hope that with any modern drug that you wouldn't have any relapses after a settling in period when it's well and truly in your system. Also my consultant tells me the disease will naturally relapse for 15 years then stop relapsing. I have read some other sources it can take 20 years. So if you were diagnosed in 2010 like you were and onset was before that then you are now heading into the period where it naturally stops relapsing. So your situation makes perfect sense.
