Painful joints

Does anyone get painful joints with their ms? I’m currently go through a bad patch I can’t seem to shake , with usual fatigue etc. However my joints hurt too, particularly fingers and wrists, but also ankles and knees and elbows. I can’t decide whether to speak to GP in case it’s something else or not. I can’t really face more appointments unless it’s necessary!

Same here…. Every morning, along with my usual pain(s) I wake with swollen hands/fingers, which feel like, that my joints are cracking. It’s very painful, but my Neurologist seem to just put it down to MS symptoms, but I’m not so sure… My MS nurse mentioned arthritis🤦‍♂️, but not sure what tests there are for that, so that’s next on the list for my doctors appointment next week…

That’s what I’m thinking too. Before I was diagnosed with MS I was sent the the rheumatologist but tests for arthritis came back negative, but they said to monitor over time. They can do blood tests for markers of rheumatoid arthritis and X-rays to diagnose. Hmm I might ring my GP I suppose. I just can’t really face it. I hope that you get answers soon xxx
