Regession of previously active lesions

I have just received a letter from my consultant about my recent MRI and I am looking for some clarification on one of the sentences please. Dr Google isn't helping me. The letter says 'there had been some regression of some of the previously active lesions since your last MRI. This is reassuring' I am assuming that this means that there has been some healing of the lesions. Is that what she means? Thanks Jess

I honestly don't know tbh. I have an MRI in 2 weeks and I'm hoping gluten free diet will show lesion "regression" too. One for your neuro or MS nurse. Not Google!

@asultana

Regression means the reversal of something whether that be a sign or symptom. Therefore this is a positive thing. I’m assuming your doctor is advised since your MRI, they have noticed improvements since your last MRI :) xx
