Tremors, Spasticity, and My Neurologist…

So, I met with my neurologist for the first time since my MRI came back indicating MS, and he left me a bit confused. While he said due to this being my 2nd MRI showing lesions and showing a lot more lesions, along with my symptoms that he’s pretty sure I have MS…he also told me that the tremors I experience, along with the spasticity would not be caused by MS, but likely neuropathy. Am I wrong that those two things are kind of hallmarks of MS?! He has ordered 2 spinal MRIs, I had bloodwork done (which ruled out some other possibilities), have to most likely have a spinal tap, and he referred me to an MS specialist. Oh and he also wants me to have an EMG (I believe it is), where my nerves are tested because he thinks Neuropathy is causing my spasticity and tremors. This just left me so confused…HELP.

That would confuse me to.

Well, he's clearly not bothered to look into ms at all just because it's not his specialist subject. Yes spasticity is a very common symptom of MS. A spinal tap will rule out many things so it's always best to have one when diagnosing something like ms. Just keep going, pushing for earlier appointments to get through it all quickly.
