Family not really understanding

Any advice I am very close to my family and love being around them as much as I can but holidays and special activities when the whole family are in town they expect me to do everything and be there for everything and there's a lot of days I can barely get out of bed I've tried to explain it to them but they don't get it and think I'm being rude or I don't want to do those things with them which I would love nothing more than to do everything for them

Totally get where you’re coming from. ❤️ Wanting to do it all but not always having the energy is tough, and it doesn’t mean you don’t care. Maybe just let them know, “I really want to join in, but if I push too hard I’ll end up wiped out and miss even more. I’ll be there when I can, but I also need breaks.” It’s not rude at all — it’s just being real about what you can handle. The people who love you will get it eventually.

I've actually really tried saying that and my nieces wedding was a couple weeks ago and I absolutely wasn't going to miss that but they wanted me running around with them before the wedding even though I told them I wasn't going to make running around with them cause it takes so much out of me to get ready for something big but they talked me into it and at the wedding I was so exhausted I ended up falling and hurting myself pretty bad
