I know heat making our symptoms worse
But does anyone literally get insanely hot doing the most basic tasks? I mop the floor I'm red in the face, so hot. I vacuum and I'm hot. It's insane. It's like I am boiling from the inside. Once I get overheated it takes forever to cool down and of course symptoms are worse.

I keep looking online for answers and ways to manage this heat. We have holiday weather🌴🌺🌅🌊 without booking a holiday. Staycation🏝️⛱️🌞 Google Ai says: To manage multiple sclerosis (MS) in hot weather, prioritize core body temperature control. Key strategies include pre-cooling with a cooling vest or cold bath before going outside, wearing lightweight and loose-fitting clothing, staying hydrated with cold drinks, and using air conditioning or fans to prevent symptom flare-ups. Because heat sensitivity affects about \(80\%\) of MS patients, managing it effectively requires integrating several practical and preventative measures: Core Temperature Control (Pre & Post-Cooling) • Pre-cooling: Lowering your core body temperature before entering a hot environment or exercising significantly increases your stamina. You can achieve this by wearing an ice pack-lined Cooling Vests & Equipment for 30 minutes, soaking in a lukewarm-to-cool bath, or drinking an ice slurry. • Pulse points: Apply cold compresses, chilled sweatbands, or a wet towel directly to your wrists, neck, and the back of your head to cool blood flow and lower core temperatures rapidly. • Avoid artificial heat: Strictly avoid hot tubs, saunas, and overly hot baths as even a slight \(1^{\circ } rise in core temperature can temporarily exacerbate MS symptoms (a phenomenon known as Uhthoff's phenomenon). Hydration and Nutrition • Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of cold water or caffeine-free, chilled fluids regularly throughout the day, even if you do not feel thirsty. • Limit diuretics: Avoid alcohol and caffeinated drinks (tea, coffee, certain sodas), as they act as diuretics and contribute to dehydration. • Internal cooling: Suck on ice cubes or eat ice lollies to cool down from the inside out. Daily Routine & Lifestyle Modifications • Time your outings: Schedule outdoor activities, errands, and exercise for the early morning or late evening when temperatures and humidity are at their lowest. • Home cooling: Make use of air conditioning, keep your curtains closed on sun-facing windows during the day, and open windows at night to allow cooler air to circulate. You can also DIY a breeze by placing a bowl of ice directly in front of an electric fan. • Dress for the weather: Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing in light colors made of breathable fabrics like cotton, linen, or specialized wicking sports materials. Exercising Safely • Move indoors: Choose air-conditioned indoor gyms or exercise in a cool pool (water temperatures should ideally remain below \(85^{\circ } or \(29.4^{\circ} • Cooling aids: Use Hot and bothered like cooling neckties or pillows to sustain a stable body temperature during physical exertion.
It could be also the basic tasks are just too much for your body right now. Depending on the temperature outside too. Even though you’re inside. It can affect you. And when you are doing these tasks. You may to do them later when it’s cooler out. But I do believe it’s just too much for your body right now. Try breaking it down in little sections. Don’t do it all at once.
