I think your eyes can fatigue same as your body can. I have to wear glasses intermittently or I get headaches from focusing. Luckily there is audible books but often badly voice acted 🤦♂️
I finished highschool uni and learnt new language which is English from scratch after diagnosis not perfect English speaker but at least ibenefit of trying new thing Altho i advice better not my sight is not perfect now eyes problem not ms related
