Fatigue

Hey, is there anyway to beat the fatigue. I'm really struggling to have energy or stay awake atm. It's making me feel depressed and I just wanna cry all the time. X
@Elisabeth_Turner

#Jades641 it's so hard some days. I'm sure you know the obvious ones. Get a good nights sleep. Drink lots of water. Get outside for a walk. I take Amantadine twice a day and it definitely helps, although it doesn't work for everyone. Definitely worth asking your doctor though xx

@Jades641 - ahh my friend, I totally know how u feel. It really is horrible and feels like you cant live life properly. It’s making it very difficult for me to continue to work, and i have a desk job/ homebased. 2 peices of advice other than drugs ( other ppl here probably can advice better in drugs, as I haven’t taken anything yet for it, drug wise), but here’s my 2 cents: 1. Sign up for a fatigue online course. That helped me, it doesn’t take it away, but helps your learn how to manage it. If youre in the UK, speak to your MS nurse, they can refer you to FACET online fatigue course. Its valuable as doing what your instincts tell you, ie “pushing through it does NOT help”. 2. They say depression makes it worse or triggers it. I know what youre thinking, hard to keep the 2 apart. My neurologist recommended me taking antidepressants but i didnt for a number of reasons. Stay strong, its very hard. And know that we’re all going through this with you. It will get better, that course will you manage it. Obviously i agree with what elizabeth said earlier
