Walker/wheelchair
I have been using an upright walker for the past 10 years. I am now at that stage in my progression where i dont feel as stable as i used to. A good friend of mine's step father just passed away and he gave me his step fathers powered wheelchair. It was basically brand new. His step father hadnt even had it for a year when he passed. Anyway, i want to start using that to get some of my freedom and energy back. My wife refuses to let me use it, she is afraid i will never walk again.
Confused, not sure how to handle this?

You just have to tell her the truth about how you feel about everything and I'm sure she'll understand it's hard when you have to go from stick to chair I have done that luckily my wife was okay with everything but I'm sure things should be okay I think if you explain to her what's really going on she'll totally understand and she'll be with you totally on it best of luck a powered mobility scooter wheelchair really has changed my life 110% for the better
If you don’t feel stable and more importantly safe with your walker, I would say definitely use the chair. The last thing you want is to fall and heaven forbid, break anything. Plus as well, it is your body. I can see where she is coming from but…. After all, I am sure that you would still be walking at home
