Neuropathic itch is trying to end me
Neuropathic itch can absolutely get in the bin.
My numb hand/arm flare has come back worse the last couple of days and the itching is INSANE. Not normal itch. Not “oh I’ll just scratch it”. More like my nervous system is malfunctioning and trying to make me peel my own skin off for sport. It’s all over but mainly nose, scalp, neck, arms and numb hand.
I’m genuinely losing the will with it 😭 scratching makes it worse but not scratching feels impossible.
Has anyone actually found anything that helps or are we all just out here suffering and pretending we’re fine? I’ve seen capsaicin cream mentioned but I’m not convinced I want to voluntarily turn my arm into a burning regret unless it actually works.
Anyway. I hate it.
Tips welcome before I commit crimes against my own skin.

I’ve had numbing and tingling hands and feet for life!!!!
I was watching an Instagram reel about how to handle mosquito bites. They advised rubbing the whole area very gently instead of scratching as this soothes all the nerve endings in the skin instead of overactivating the ones below the bite. No idea if it works in your situation though! My intuition would try heat or cold.. again no personal experience.. Regardless, I hope you find relief soon! I remember feeling miserable when my psoriasis kicked in. Not sure how I handled it then. I think a cold shower..
