Smart move getting on a DMD as early as possible. 💪 I'm not on Briumvi myself, but it's the same CD20 family as Kesimpta and Ocrevus, and honestly there's not a huge amount between them in terms of effectiveness. These CD20 drugs are pretty much the bees' knees when it comes to slowing disease activity and progression. I've been on CD20 therapies for about 80 months now (Ocrevus then Kesimpta), still working full-time, raising 3 kids who seem determined to cause riots daily 🤣, and still training whenever I can. It's completely normal to be nervous before your first infusion, but I'd be far more nervous about delaying treatment than starting it. I am on Briumvi, and it has been a game changer. Your first infusion treat it like a practice round try to not put any pressure but also dont treat it as a quick in and out deal. I was good for my first my second threw me for a loop because the first one I was so scared and it was easy I had high expectations for the second. Now my infusions are like rituals I try not to go out the week before, I take the day sometimes two off before and after infusion, I always bring lifesavers to help with the sometimes metallic taste and ginger ale (some have full meals),I have a blanket specifically for infusion days, and normally throw something in the crock pot the morning of. Don't fight the sleep since you will get Benadryl, and try to make it like a your day kinda thing!
