Moving to Mavenclad

Hi how have people done on Mavenclad? My neuro wants me to swap to it as most recent MRI showed enlargement of 2 lesions (after five years stable on Aubagio). Other one he offered is Kesimpta but I don’t like the sound of monthly injections and he was way keener on Mavenclad. Any thoughts welcome :)

Hi, I have just finished my 2 year course of mavenclad. This was my first DMT so I have nothing to compare it to. I was nervous before starting the treatment but I have to say it’s been really straightforward. The advice I was given before taking the tablets was to drink plenty of water. That seemed to work. Happy to chat/answer any questions :)

I’m days away from starting Year 2, Cycle 2. So far, no new lesions. Your WBC count is going to dip and that’s normal. The reason you wash your hands is because the tablets are uncoated and could be absorbed by anyone you touch. Headaches are common, just make sure you hydrate to combat the headaches.
