DMD

Hope youre all well. Saw my Neurologist last week. I've had a lot of relapses in the last couple of years. He thinks a change of DMD. Ocrevus and also Kesimpta has been mentioned. I'm getting info about it in the post. I know one is an infusion and the other to inject it myself. Does anyone know about these or are having these? What are they like? I'd be grateful for your thoughts on them, thanks.
@OxoRRMS

I haven't used either. I did use copaxone for many years, which was injections. Are you OK with the idea of injecting yourself? Just something that may help your decision. Hope it works out for you either way.

@Bacms

I am on Ocrevus(Ocrelizumab) which is quite a popular drug to use in the UK. I was offered Kesimpta. They both have similar mechanisms of action as they both deplete B-cells populations. They are popular because they so far seem to have less serious secondary effects compared to other alternative high-efficiency drugs. The main difference between the 2 is that Ocrevus requires an infusion every 6 months (1st dose is a half dose split between 2 sessions 2 weeks apart) and you will need to visit the hospital to have it. Kesimpta is self-injected, you would have an initial session with a nurse where you would be guided through the procedure and then do it on your own every month. As @OxoRRMS mentioned make sure you would be comfortable with this. I felt more comfortable having to go hospital once a month compared to having to inject it myself, but I think this is very much a personal preference.
