HSCT

Hello, I was wondering where I can find a good source of debate/arguments for pro-HSCT and those against? Maybe here is a good place? What are your thoughts on the topic? Does it worth a try or not? Should we wait more, for those who can, until the treatment protocols become safer? Thank you, and have a good day :)

consider watching this clip from Dr Burt. Its something we are considering if progression were to continue. For now Tecfidera seems to be working ok but this is a really a good way to get an idea: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iafkr-qRnm0&list=WL&index=21&t=799s At this point I think the calculation to make is the one time up front risk and benefit vs the compounded long term risk and benefit of a DMT. Are you currently taking one of those? How is your progression? In the UK i think your only option is Sheffield. Dr Burt is the only option in the US. There are a few other hospitals in the world that do it as well. From what I have read so far, I think we are in a sweet spot where it doesnt seem to be likely to get much safer any time soon. Depending on the regimen its safer then it was at the beginning and most of the risks are now a function of replacing an immune system which will happen no matter how your totally destroy it.
