Ms hug

Would anyone describe the ms hug as feeling like a panic attack. I've had what I think is one a few times, mainly when under stress. The pain was so unbearable and just scary but because of the situation I was in I thought it was a panic attack. These all happened before my diagnosis, my last one being whilst I was pregnant, so five year ago. I've only recently found out about the ms hug. I'd never had a panic attack before so at the time believed that was what it was. Random question as it hasn't happened since but just trying to make sense of things.

Mine sometimes comes with a racing heart- is that what you mean? Sorry you are getting this 😞

I get confused by this as well. For me, I feel as if the area around my rib cage, mid back, upper back feels as if it is getting squeezed tighter and tighter but with a burning sensation. At its worst, I had felt difficulty breathing because of the panic. It’s been several months since I’ve experienced one thankfully. Thinking back b4 my diagnosis I think I also just thought of them as my anxiety hitting high.
