Rights in the workplace

Hi everyone! I have a question I’m hoping you could help with. What are my rights as An employee in terms of the absences from work due to MS, in particular those related to Ms related appointments, treatments or new relapses and courses of steroids that might take a while to recover? (Are they accounted as sickness or holidays or is there a disability related sickness in addition to standard sickness?) And what would be my rights in case of self employment? Thank you in advance for any advice! Just to add, I’m UK based
@JJPac

Hi there, I’ve found if I have considerate boss then I get the okay to attend medical appointments, technically an absence from work albeit temporary. 👍

You should have a risk assessment to show what you can and can't do at work, on this it should be noted that you have a long term illness, this means you can't be refused any days off for medical appointments or anything related to your condition. If you have any questions I've gone through all of this at my work place and would be happy to help 😃
