NEW WITH MS
Hi, everyone.
I just got diagnosed with MS and honestly don't know anything about it, I'm really scared
So I'm here trying to learn from the real experts on things that you might wanna have known when you got diagnosed.
Help this scared soul
Dont let it define you. Keep living a full life. Things will change over time, so will you. Before you fall asleep at night, remind yourself that you done it. Completed another day. You’ll be grand.
First of all - take a deep breath. Don't be scared - the best way to combat the fear is to find out all you can about MS, but don't forget there are several types & the prognosis can be very different depending on what type you have. Also everyone's experience of MS & how it affects them is very different. Give yourself time to come to terms with your diagnosis. I was diagnosed over 30 years ago & most of that my MS was totally manageable - yes I had to make adjustments sometimes but being adaptable is a really good idea. My top advice is make yourself a bucket list of things you want to do & do them just in case you can't later on. Be positive - it does help! I have lived my life the best I can and done loads! Try not to dwell on the MS - you will have good days & bad days - just enjoy all you can. Take care
