Rebif question
I got my injection out last night to get ready to take it and forgot about it so it has been sitting out for about 10 hours now is it still safe to take or should I throw it out? Has anyone done this before this is only my 2nd full dose?
@deedeeking1979 , the following is taken from the Prescribing Information for Rebif :- "REBIF should be stored refrigerated between 36ºF to 46ºF (2ºC to 8ºC). DO NOT FREEZE. If needed, REBIF may be stored between 36ºF to 77ºF (2ºC to 25ºC) for up to 30 days and away from heat and light, but refrigeration is preferred." If you have any concerns about whether you have stayed within these parameters, then I would just put this injection in your sharps bin and start with a fresh one. It may be worthwhile setting a reminder on your mobile/cellphone to avoid forgetting in the future. 😉
