Legal Assistance 🏴
Currently going through Ill Health Retirement process with my employer.
Employer is a large government led organization
Initially looked at redeployment but i have chosen not to pursue this due to progessiveness of MS.
I believe i require legal representation, keep coming up against dead ends when i contact law firms.
My union rep appears to be an obstacle with regard to gaining legal representaion.
Where do i go from here🤷
You should call ms society legal team. I did and they are currently helping me with my work issues
I used a local MS Trust support person, this really helped , meeting with them to discuss possible outcomes that would suit me, so we were both ‘ on the same page ‘ then she also was with me for the meeting with the management meeting to discuss illhealth retirement. Best thing I’ve done. I have time and energy to manage my MS so I can really say I now live well with MS. When I was working I was barely surviving!
