Total aside waking up for work

I woke up this morning needing the bathroom and getting ready for work. I felt the urge to share 1 stanza from 1 of the poems I wrote during my time in the service. I used to write about the things I saw, which in this instance it was a beautiful Butterfly getting close to a spiders web. Not sure how it wil read as it is probably better spoken: The Butterfly Little Flag that soars up high, Who’s Love for Light was born to Fly. Fly, Fly, far from here, Fly far away, for death is near. “Come no more!” The spider cried. “You fear my power?” the eyes replied. “Oh Butterfly, your colours bright, Will stain with blood before tonight. These silver strands of silk might gleam, But hold you gently while you scream. Then all the world will never see , The beauty that you were to me.” This was 1 stanza I found in my scrap book that i keep in an under bed storage unit, along with other poems I wrote when I visited places like Prague, when I was at Uni, and a partially written book.

@taebreezyyyy thank you, I never really got to focus on writing after school, as despite being straight A’s for Maths and English, my parents ‘encouraged’ me to do Business at University.
